Ron Pierce has a rich and diverse background of experience gained through 23 years as an Army Special Forces Officer, with assignments all over the world.
After retirement from the U.S.Army, Ron managed the Poker Flat Rocket Range outside of Fairbanks Alaska, where he worked with NASA to launch 30 rockets and one missile in the study of the aurora. He then moved to the University of Alaska - Fairbanks as Director of Facilities responsible for 25% of the square footage of all State of Alaska properties.
As Risk Manager for the University of Alaska Fairbanks and then Director of the Low Rank Coal Water Fuel Research program, he contributed significantly to developing a clean coal alternative fuel source, actually burning coal in a diesel engine.
Ron has served as the Public Affairs / Protocol Officer for Missile Defense base in Fort Greely, Alaska, assisting in the startup of this national defense effort. This was followed by a stint as the Logistics Officer / Camp Manager for a copper mine exploration camp, building a 300 man camp North of the Arctic Circle, constructing a new camp accessible only by airplanes.
Mr. Pierce joined Pendaran in 2014, where he has developed coaching programs and has leveraged his expereince in organizational development and change, systems thinking and systems strategy. Ron is a certified Maxx on the Pendaran delivery team as well as Coach for the Structured Problem Solving simulation.
Pierce holds a BA in Sociology from Troy State University and a MA in Management and Supervision (Suma Cum Laude) from Central Michigan University.
