Tom Erbach is a proven leader in operations training with years of experience forming and implementing workforce development strategies in increasingly complex technologies. He is a performance focused innovator, team builder, and change leader.
Tom began his career in manufacturing at G.D. Searle Pharmaceuticals. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Northern Illinois University, he developed quality control methods at Baxter Travenol Laboratories. In 1981 he combined his experience in analytical chemistry and 10 years of Navy electronics as a field engineer at Beckman Instruments, Inc. (now Beckman Coulter, Inc.).
During his 30 years at Beckman he held positions in field engineering, sales, customer technical support, engineering support, and technical training. As technical training manager, Tom initiated and implemented processes that brought managers, trainers, mentors and students together in collaborative problem solving teams. His innovations in technical training and workforce development dramatically improved results and stakeholder collaboration. In recognition of his innovative problem solving, he received the company’s “Inner Circle” award.
After leaving Beckman Coulter in 2011, Tom founded TJ Erbach & Associates, LLC. As an independent consultant Tom works with small to mid size businesses to bring out the best in people and processes. He joined Pendaran in 2014 and serves in a variety of roles on the Pendaran team.
Tom lives with his wife in the Chicago area.
